  2. Quick study break. Too much synthesis makes kimmy go insane.
Haha i wish my biceps looked that huge all the time.
I’m thinking if I cut down to 130 or drop a few inches on my waist (currently 28”, shooting for 24”) I might finally get that belly piercing I’ve always wanted.
Just ate some cereal and berries post workout. No matter how old I get I’m still a sucker for cereal.
The sight of fried/processed food makes me gag. I went to Del Taco with some friends today and tried the cheesecake bites (I would’ve gotten a salad if the taco meat wasn’t drowned in lard) and it was..so blah. ~500 calories and not even a fulfilling treat. I used to love Del Taco’s fries, but they just don’t do it for me anymore. Add them to the list of restaurants I won’t ever visit again (which also includes McDonald’s).
It’s all about the GSL this weekend..haha..gym study laundry..hopefully more G, less S. Enjoy your weekend everyone :]
Study hard, train hard, go hard or go home :]

  3. happy 2011.

    wow..the end of a decade..crazy!!

going in tonight for my first workout of the year/decade :] just got back from Costco after stocking up on some goodies (granola bars and blueberries as post workout snacks, spices and some veggies for the chicken breast I’m making for lunch), and I’m just doing some reading before tonight’s workout. It’s been raining a lot here in CA, and the cold weather is doing a number on my skin and hair :’[ I decided I should post a list of resolutions (for once in my life) to concretely define what I want to accomplish this year:

    1. A’s in all my classes. I’m taking organic synthesis, spectroscopy techniques and possibly medicinal chemistry this quarter..wish me luck!!

    2. Cut down to 130lbs. I’m currently at 140 at 5’6”, but to trim 10lbs of fat without losing muscle is awesome. And doable.

    3. Bigger shoulders. I’m naturally a very hippy/bottom heavy girl, and filling out my front/medial deltoids would be great once I lean out.

    4. Eat more veg. Definitely been slacking on this department. I should be eating 2 cups per meal..changing that this year :]

    5. Plan the free meals. I’ve been way too lax in this area and it shows :/ I’m deciding to switch my incentives to clothes/makeup shopping. Hello MAC and Forever 21 :]

    6. Tap into my other senses. Depending on the situation, I’m much more biased to different senses. I’ve never been a good writer, but yet I’m much more responsive to touch and sight. I used to scrapbook and make collages as a kid, and I am going to start keeping a picture journal again. Images can be so motivating and a great pick-me-up/study break :]

That’s it for now. I’ll update my list when I can think of more goals I want to achieve.

Train hard, train smart, and train for the love of it. Looking good naked is just a perk :]

mycollectionofskins asked: Hey there! Thanks for the follow, your support means a lot to me. :)

I was reading through your about just now and I read that you are aiming to become a bodybuilder? (Correct me if that's an erred assumption!) I think that's very interesting so my question to you is, what made you want to become one?

    hey there!!

sorry it took me forever to respond..I just got back home from vacation :) I did my first amateur bodybuilding competition last year and I just totally LOVED it..I’ve always done sports as a kid, but never took weightlifting seriously until I trained for my first show. My trainer taught me everything about dieting and lifting, and he helped me realize that excessive amounts of cardio is not the answer. I’ve always been aiming for a lean, muscular look, rather than looking thin/emaciated/waiflike. I’m hoping with my blog I can show other girls that starvation isn’t the answer, and that lifting weights won’t make you “bulky”. I’ve been training and dieting for over a year and I’m nowhere near as muscular as I’d like to be..it just takes a ton of patience. It’s really easy to cheat and eat junk food, but looking at pictures of other people can be really inspiring and motivating :)

  6. MIA again

sorry about that..it’s finals week and I’m *trying* to be a good student and study for my exams. And here I am, at the on campus study hall, trying to cram for my proteins exam while I eat protein (hehehe..costco chicken breast..YUMMMM). In the meantime, here’s my recipe for some easy, super quick lean teriyaki chicken:

1 packet sun-bird honey teriyaki sauce

1 can Kirkland canned chicken breast

    1/2 cup soy sauce

8-10 packets of splenda (or however sweet you like it..I lovelovelove sweet teriyaki sauce)

    black pepper and diced onion

Mix everything except chicken in a container with a lid.

Add chicken, shake, let marinate for however you like.

Add chicken and sauce in a pan and cook for about 5 minutes. Let sauce thicken. Add water if it’s too thick.

Serve with steamed broccoli..yummy teriyaki chicken in minutes :D

(btw the Costco canned chicken is also pretty awesome by itself..enjoy!)
